Single Parenting Tips - The Results Of Being Parented By One Parent

There have become more single parenting tips over the past twenty years. There has been an increasing number of children growing up in a single parent famiy. Society has changed dramatically in the pasy years.

Depending on a persons reactions on particular situations, and how one behaves with changes have had a impact on families today. Like anything else in life, there are pros and cons to being a single parent.

There are positive and negatives to single parent homes. Studies have shown that children of a single parent have a lower self esteem than children with both parents.

There is no difference between a single or shared parenting style when it comes to being a well adjusted parent. The emotional well-being of both the child and the parent as well as the dynamics of a parent-child relationship is dependent on how the parent deals with a child.

Relieving Stress- Being a single parent can cause both the children and the parent to feel stressed.

Most of the time the feelings of the children aren’t felt by either parent. Explaining the situation to the child can help him or her to understand why the separation occurred, and thereby reassure them emotionally.

Communication with a child can help them understand the present situation, as well as help them to release stress they carry toward their parents as well as other people too.

The discussions of divorce and seperation led to extra neglection of the children. Parents and their kids often are engaged in screaming matches and not speaking with one another , as different perspectives clash.

Having more time to address the needs of children and open communication channels between the two, are some of the effects of being a single parent. Making plans for a vacation as well as bonding meetings with one another can be a result of this. If we had more time we would have more time to be in a relaxed family atmosphere.

Re-connecting with the community- Both kids and their parents can team up and bond with their community thanks to this effect of single parenthood.

Single parents in need of help can turn to the neighbors for help in caring for their children. This frequently results in a positive feeling of involvement on not only the parent and their child, but also the neighborhood.

4) Out of the box experience to the child- Since the child now shuttles between two separate parents, the child can broaden his/her experiences pertaining to life. The child is able to see that the world does not cater to them and is more self aware.

5) Feeling accomplished- When children are given a small number of responsbilities, they will generally feel a sense of accomplishment. A mood of honesty adds to the sense of achievement with the addition of new responsibilities. The reason is that a job has been performed to help the family. This validates the child and makes them feel like a vital part of the family.

6)For single parents it is wiser to prioritize; this will help them to balance life and work When looking for new jobs that will help you take care of your family, new jobs may be needed.

In order to have balance in you life you need to prioritize your schedules, school and financial obligations. Achieving a work life balance is an unending challenge to the parent, because of the extra responsibilities of running family life.

7) Allow children to participate in decisions. All parents especially single ones need caring thinking minds to help with making major decisions.
